Hi - I've got to say it's a bit quiet around here right now.

We had all the drama of Daniel Craig announcing he would do a fifth Bond film, Danny Boyle joining (and suddenly departing) as director, Cary Fukunaga joining as director, delays because of the change in director.

Then we had the launch of the 25th Bond film at Ian Fleming's house in Jamaica, Goldeneye and bits and pieces in the media about filming, behind the scenes features, finally a teaser trailer, composer announcements, singer announcements and new composer announcements.

Then, just as we were weeks away from No Time to Die, Covid-19 came along...

...and the 25th Bond film became the first major feature film to be delayed because of the pandemic.

Then, after several more delays, it was finally released in the UK at the end of September. All in all we've had quite a few years of news about No Time to Die and now, suddenly, nothing.

Of course, it's the 60th Anniversary of cinematic Bond, so we'll have something to report on this year. There is a music documentary due out later this year for instance. 

There is also the question of what next for 007 and - most importantly, who play be the next actor to play James Bond.

We'll see if there is an announcement. I can't really see it happening unless there is a new film to announce, but I've been wrong about these things before.

And there is a new book by Anthony Horowitz due of course. 

My plans are to continue writing about Bond on the website with new articles shared here. My immediate projects are to continue to write about the drinks in the books, but also go in depth on some aspects of No Time to Die.

That's all a long way of saying there isn't much to report on this month. 

Being James Bond: The Daniel Craig Story is now available on YouTube. The documentary takes a look at how Daniel Craig became James Bond and his time as 007, including some behind the scenes footage while shooting No Time to Die.
 

Features

The pre-title sequence of No Time to Die is the longest of the entire series. At nearly 24 minutes in length it covers two distinct time periods and is in two countries, the first of which is Norway.

After Norway we go to southern Italy, including a shot by shot look at the chase through the streets of Matera. This is currently for Patreon subscribers only.
