Considering we're in a slow period of Bond news it has been an eventful month in our little universe, with Barbara Broccoli talking about (lack of) progress on Bond 26, controversial new editions of Ian Fleming's books, and the unfortunate passing of renowned composer Bert Bacharach.
This month we have some insightful articles that delve into the world of 007, including a video update from me regarding the latest Bond 26 news. In it I take a closer look at what we can expect and potential timescales for the release of the movie.

While that film may not be among the favourites of many Bond fans, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer was the genius behind some of the most beloved tunes of the 20th century and his contributions to the world of music are unlikely to be forgotten any time soon.

Despite persistent rumours and speculation by the tabloids about the next James Bond actor, the casting process has not yet begun.
When Barbara Broccoli walked the red carpet of the annual BAFTA Film Awards at the Royal Festival Hall she was asked about the progress of Bond 26. She confirmed that casting for Bond 26 is not yet underway.
February also saw Ian Fleming’s books released as new ebook editions in the UK as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of Casino Royale. His
non-fiction works were also published.
However there was soon an outcry over new James Bond editions when it became clear that the original texts had been amended to remove racist language and descriptions. Some sections of the media came out strongly against it and many fans voiced their displeasure on social media, causing Ian Fleming Publications to issue a statement regarding the changes.
