This newsletter is never sent to anyone who doesn't want to receive it. If you want to remove your name from the list see the instructions at the very end of this email.

Hi

In Quantum of Solace we follow Bond as he chases M's bodyguard, Mitchell, across the rooftops of Siena after he turns out to be working for Mr White's organisation.

After some investigation in London Bond tracks down Mitchell's contact, a certain Mr Slate, to Haiti, where he first runs into Camille and Dominic Green.

While the scenes were actually shot in Panama, they do give an idea of the kind of poverty faced in Haiti - and as you know, the conditions are now much worse thanks to the earthquake and follow up tremors in January.

If you want to help out and be a Bond style hero click here to help the aid agencies - they aren't perfect, but you cam help them to save lives.

Bond 23 News

As you probably already know, Peter Morgan was announced as screenwriter, alongside regulars Purvis and Wade back in June. In December the writer, who was responsible for The Queen and Frost/Nixon, said he had been working on the script but that it had been put on hold until February at the earliest due top the auction of MGM.

The first round of bids for the studio were received in mid January, but all would require MGM to file for bankruptcy due to the horrendous amount of debt.

What does this mean for Bond 23?

Unless Eon Production can take the Bond franchise to another studio without a drawn out legal battle it is almost certain that any serious pre-production work will be put on hold until MGM's future is resolved - watch this space.
