Joining India on the location list for Bond 23 appears to be Istanbul, which provided much of the atmosphere for From Russia With Love and made a brief appearance in Tomorrow Never Dies. Read Indian Railways derail Bond plan:

Plans to shoot on location in India have been scrapped according to India Take One Productions, who were dealing with negociations. Bond 23 will instead shoot in a backup location, South Africa. Daniel Craig ‘Hopes’ Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem Join ‘Bond 23′:
