James Bond News - October 2013
Published: Wed, 10/02/13
2nd October, 2013 Hi Last month saw the UK release of "Solo", the new James Bond written by William Boyd. While opinion is divided among fans of 007, I read it over the weekend and - with a few reservations - enjoyed it thoroughly. The continuation authors always have a tough task, seeing as they need to keep the Bond community happy while also writing a novel that will appeal to the general reading public. The book will be published in the United States on October 8 and can be preordered now for delivery next week.
As a result, much of the news over the last month has been focused on "Solo", although there have also been a few snippets from Bond 24. Still, it is a year before the next Bond film goes into production and until that point anything is going to be pretty insubstantial stuff. Lastly, look out for a new James Bond podcast that I'm co-hosting. The first episode has already been recorded and will be out shortly, with following episiodes released monthly. Keep an eye out on the website for announcements, or follow along on our social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Google+. Until next time,
