9 January 2014

Hi

Well, here we are in 2014! I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year and are all set for the year ahead.

And while there is no Bond movie scheduled until 2015, the ball will at least start rolling on what for now is simply known as Bond 24.

Bond 24

This year should see work commence on Bond 24, so we can expect some announcements in the coming months - as well as the usual gossip and rumours.

You can expect very little official word, as the producers are famously tight lipped, but expect some stories as cast and crew are signed (and watch for when some of those suddenly backtrack after having revealed too much!), but there should at least be a press conference in October or November prior to shooting.

I'll aim to keep you up to date with what is and what is not news, sifting through the noise to pick out anything that might have some basis in fact.

Writers wanted

As well as news I'll also be bringing you regular articles about various aspects of James Bond's world. And if you would like to contribute this year then get in touch as I'm always looking to feature work by other writers.

If you have something to say about James Bond then just reply to this email and let's get the ball rolling!

Q-Branch Podcast

Another exciting project I co-host with Jake Del Toro is the Q-Branch Podcast. If you haven't yet listened then you can download all the episodes from iTunes (and if you got a shiny new iPhone for Christmas then what are you waiting for?). If you do like what we are doing then remember to give us a rating or leave a comment on iTunes too.

That's all for now and if you have anything to say then please get in touch - I will reply personally.

Until next time,

David Leigh
