James Bond News - July 2015
Published: Tue, 07/07/15
After seven months of filming, "SPECTRE" finally finished shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning. Cast and crew attended a wrap party at the Tower of London on Sunday night to celebrate, but while the actors may have finished their work, Sam Mendes and all crew involved in post-production will continue to shape the film into the final product prior to its premiere in October. Expect news on "SPECTRE" to become scarce of the summer as all the work goes on behind closed doors, although we can perhaps expect a trailer and the announcement of the artist for the theme song.

The comic will feature both original stories set in the modern day as well as adaptations of Ian Fleming's books, so there should be plenty for everyone.
Anyway, check out the news and features below and I'll be back next month with more.

As I await the arrival of SPECTRE, the fourth of Daniel Craig’s five contracted portrayals of James Bond, it seems many of the key elements of the franchise are working effectively, providing sufficient momentum to power through a writers’ strike and a studio bankruptcy, and delivering continued commercial success. But don’t be surprised if producers […]

While Aston Martin is the marque most closely associated with James Bond, the literary character is very much a Bentley man. From the word go in Casino Royale Bond is driving one, and while he is to be found behind the wheel of a secret service Aston Martin in Goldfinger, Bond’s personal car is always a Bentley in […]

It was with considerable sadness I read of the death of Christopher Lee on Twitter today. I have a particular soft spot of The Man With The Golden Gun as it was my first ever Bond film and while the film has many detractors one of its strengths is Lee’s portrayal of Scaramanga, with his iconic golden […]

“The job’s done; the bitch is dead.” James Bond’s pain over Vesper Lynd’s betrayal and suicide is palpable in the report he makes to M in the final minutes of Casino Royale (2006). The death inextricably alters Bond so-much-so the event is as important to the genesis of Bond’s character as the two sanctioned kills that […]
