The James Bond Dossier: turn on images for best user experience

Hi

Back to work after a long weekend. If you live in any part of the world when yesterday was a holiday you're probably like me and struggling to hit the ground running. Here we go anyway!

The last month saw a report that Barbara Broccoli has almost persuaded Daniel Craig to return for Bond 25. It's not confirmed but does sound plausible at least. It also seems five studios are in the running to sign up for the distribution rights. If the deal is anything like Sony had then that means putting up half the money for 25% of the profit. You can find both those stories below.

We also learnt the sad news of a couple of deaths during April. Clifton James, who played Sheriff JW Pepper died at the age of 96. Not a bad innings. And Tim P
igott-Smith, who played the Foreign Secretary in Quantum of Solace, died at the much more modest age of 70.

I've covered shaving equipment several times on The James Bond Dossier. For quite a few years now I've used a Merkur safety razor similar to the heavy toothed Hoffritz razor Ian Fleming mentions in "007 in New York" and "The Man With The Golden Gun". I've also covered the Gillette Slim Adjustable used by Sean Connery in "Goldfinger" as well as the cutthroat razor that appears in "Skyfall". But the razor is only part of the equation to get a really good shave.

One product I was massively surprised by is the shave oil from King of Shaves. You use a drop of oil on your face instead of shaving soap/cream/gel.
It doesn't seem like it can work but in fact produces fantastic results. And the bottle is tiny so it's great for when you're travelling. I've been telling friends and family about it for years!

The good news is I've teamed up with King of Shaves to offer you an exclusive offer on their shave kits. Until 10th May you can use the discount code BOND17 at checkout and get a 10% discount. There are a number of different options including really smart travel bags and as well as the shave oil they do shaving gel, moisturiser, a face scrub and beard gel. You can take a look at the kit here as an example which includes the travel bag, shave oil and moisturiser with SPF 15 to help protect you from the sun.

Don't forget to get your 10% discount by using discount code BOND17 at checkout. And if that wasn't enough you also get free shipping ;) Take a look at the shave kits here to get started.

Something else to mention is the special offer pricing on MI6 Confidential magazine, to which I sometimes contribute. You can sign up for the complete 2017 season of five issues and pay for just four plus delivery.

The magazine covers all aspects of 007 and is in full colour, a must have for any serious fan of James Bond.
