Daniel Craig confirmed for Bond 25

Published: Wed, 08/16/17

It has been confirmed that Daniel Craig will return as James Bond for a fifth time in Bond 25.

The actor has played agent 007 in four Bond films to date, starting with Casino Royale (2006) and continuing with Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012) and SPECTRE (2015).

His return has been strongly rumoured for several months after media speculation over who would take over in the role. This followed perceived negative comments he made after SPECTRE finished filming, which were widely reported as him wishing to quit as James Bond.

But just hours after saying he was still undecided, Craig confirmed on The Late Show that he would be back as Bond. A short statement on 007.com reads:

Daniel Craig is returning to play 007 in Bond 25. The actor confirmed he would play James Bond for the fifth time to host Stephen Colbert on The Late Show last night. Bond 25 will be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional early release in the UK and the rest of the world.
