The James Bond Dossier: turn on images for best user experience

Hi

What a terrible month we've had since the last newsletter. Firstly, I hope you, your family and friends haven't been affected by the terrorist actions in Manchester or London, or anywhere else in the world.

May saw a number of losses in the world of Bond. First was the stunt coordinator for "The Man With The Golden Gun", Jay Milligan at the age of 85.

Next was Chris Cornell. His death really struck home as he was a year older than me. Initially I assumed it he had died of a heart attack or something similar, but later it was revealed he had tragically committed suicide.

Then the big one just after the Manchester bombing. Sir Roger Moore died at the age of 89 from cancer. He was my first James Bond and although not my favourite actor as 007 I liked his calmness, humility and self-deprecation. He was of course an ambassador for UNICEF among other causes and a true gentleman.

Next came Molly Peters, who appeared in one of my favourite Bond films, "Thunderball". She played Patricia Fearing, a nurse at Shrublands.

OK, that's all for now, hopefully the July newsletter is a bit less doom laden. See you then!
