Hi - it's been a busy month in the world of James Bond.

This month we look at the latest Bond 25 news (and laugh at websites who get it wrong). We then move on to the new 007 novel from Anthony Horowitz. And look at the art exhibition celebrating James Bond at Bletchley Park, and at Bond's creator, Ian Fleming.

I'd also love to hear from you about what you want to see in Bond 25. Click here to let me know!

Bond 25

First we had the announcement that Bond 25 starts shooting in early December with Danny Boyle directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as 007. You can read all about it below if you missed my special edition of the newsletter.

But when Daniel Craig was seen shooting a TV commercial in the Catalan town of Cardona, north-east Spain, some websites got a bit ahead of themselves and reported he was in Spain to start shooting Bond 25.  Relax. It's almost certainly an ad for Heineken.

There are a ton of rumours flying around at the moment about who is being cast and what's in the screenplay. Most of it is garbage, just ignore it. I'll only report news that is confirmed or seems likely.

What would you like to see in Bond 25? Let me know here!

Forever and a Day

The other big event though was the release of Anthony Horowitz's second James Bond novel, 'Forever and a Day'. Released in the UK on 31st May, you can read my review of Forever and a Day here (mild spoilers).

Earlier in the week we had the chance to quiz Anthony Horowitz on his new book and find out a bit about what it takes to write a Bond novel. The author is currently on a short tour of UK bookshops tour to promote his new book. You can find all remaining dates listed here.

The other news related to the book is that the audio book will be narrated by Matthew Goode.

007 Art Exhibition

A temporary art exhibition centred around the James Bond books opened last month in Hut 12 at Bletchley Park. It celebrates both Ian Fleming’s original James Bond series and Anthony Horowitz’s recent continuation novels. Edward Biddulph sent in a report from the preview of the exhibition

And while the artworks will be auctioned for charity in October, prints of one of the works are now on sale direct from the artist.

110th anniversary of Ian Fleming's birth

Last week marked the anniversary of the birth Ian Fleming, the author who introduced the world to James Bond in Casino Royale and went on to write a total of fourteen James Bond books. Read our celebration of his life.

OK, that's it for this month. I've been pretty bust all month with this and other stuff, including a short trip to Holland. I shot some video in Amsterdam at some of the locations used in Diamonds Are Forever, but so far I'm too snowed under to even think about editing it. Hopefully I'll find time this month...

And if you haven't already done so, I'd really love to know what you want to see in Bond 25? Leave a quick comment here to let me know.

See you soon!
