Hi - I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year. It's always good to take some time off with family and friends and get away from work.

Although there isn't much to report in this first newsletter of the year, there are a few bits and pieces about Bond 25. I'll also tell you about a special offer on MI6 Confidential and a daily podcast I started.

4th March is the day things are scheduled to kick off on Bond 25 so I'm sure we'll learn more in the next couple of months. 

If the producers stick to the same kind of pattern as recent films we should expect a press event near the start of shooting - Friday 1st March might be a good guess but I'll let you know when it's announced.

Bond 25 latest

Swedish cinematographer Linus Sandgren to shoot Bond 25 according to Variety contributor. Variety journalist Kristopher Tapley wrote on Twitter that Swedish cinematographer Linus Sandgren will work on Bond 25.

Cary Fukunaga confirmed to Baz Bamigboye that Léa Seydoux will be reprising her role in the new James Bond film. He also confirmed Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris are on board for Bond 25.

The next James Bond film appears to be slowly shaping up after HN Entertainment reported that Alexander Witt has been signed the second unit’s director and director of photography for Bond 25.

007 Daily podcast/video

Many of you may remember the monthly Q-Branch Podcast I used to co-host a few years ago. Busy schedules and  family health issues killed the momentum we had with it just when it was getting established and unfortunately we stopped recording new episodes.

I've been wanting to do something with podcasting/ video ever since but apart from very occasionally I've done almost nothing.

But since last week I've doing a super short 2-3 minute video every day in which I discuss something about 007. I share it on YouTube and Instagram then rip the audio to create a podcast. It's done in one take with no editing and so really raw. 

The idea is for me to establish the habit of getting in front of a camera/microphone than anything else in the short term. 

But the real plan is to start offering regular audio/video commentary on Bond 25 when it starts shooting.

By that time I should be more into the swing of things and the result should be more polished. I don't have a clear plan on how it's going to evolve so your guess is as good as mine at the moment!
