Hi - Well finally all that waiting has paid off. At the end of last month Bond 25 was officially launched with a livestream launch event from Goldeneye, the very place James Bond was born.

But before we look at Bond 25, during April we learnt of the death of two members of the Bond family.

Serbian actress Nadja Regin, who appeared in two Bond with Sean Connery, has died aged 87. And former United Artists exec, David Picker,  who was instrumental in bringing 007 to the big screen also passed away

Podcast: James Bond & Friends

Back in March my friends at MI6 launched a new podcast called 'James Bond & Friends'. I'm in all but one of the episodes recorded so far and hope to feature regularly.

We cover many aspects of the James Bond universe, naturally including Bond 25

Check it out on iTunes.

Bond 25

So Bond 25 is currently shooting in Jamaica and Daniel Craig and other stars of the unnamed next James Bond film have been seen on location.

But prior to that Cary Fukunaga was in Italy to inspect film locations, with filming there reportedly starting in August.

The Mail was the first paper to report Phoebe Waller-Bridge was working on the Bond 25 script. Variety added to the veracity of that initial report when they confirmed the creator of Fleabag had been signed. Eventually the story was confirmed by Barbara Broccoli, speaking at the Goldeneye event.

And then a jet flew cast and crew from London Stansted to Norman Manley International Airport in Jamaica. Aboard the aircraft was 007 himself, Daniel Craig.

And finally the Bond 25 launch event took place. A number of rumours were confirmed and the major cast members introduced. Surprisingly some of the actors hadn't even been rumoured.

Bond 25 started shooting in Jamaica on Sunday 28th April and has continued there ever since.

If you haven't yet seen the livestream of the event you can watch the Bond 25 launch here.

See our Bond 25 page for further coverage.

Actor interviews

Interviewed in Jamaica after yesterday’s Bond 25 launch event, Daniel Craig says he probably won’t do another Bond and that it’s time someone else has a chance to take over.

Daniel Craig speaks to Entertainment Tonight

And speaking on Good Morning America, Rami Malek talks about James Bond. During the interview he mentions Goldfinger, The Man With The Golden Gun and Casino Royale as among his favourite Bond films. Although he is unable to give any details about Bond 25, Malek does confirm he will play the villain.

There's currently another Daniel Craig interview on our YouTube channel. I plan on adding more cast interviews shortly!
